Sul numero di luglio del magazine nipponico Newtype è stata annunciata la produzione di una nuova serie animata robotica, intitolata Star Driver - Kagayaki no Takuto (Star Driver - Radiant Takuto).
Molto poche le informazioni per ora la storia ruoterebbe intorno ad un ragazzo di nome Takuto, che pilota un robot chiamato Taubaan. Altre informazioni potrebbero arrivare con l'uscita delle varie riviste.

L'anime sarà prodotto dallo studio Bones (Wolf's Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka Seven, Soul Eater), con la regia affidata a Takuya Igarashi (Ouran High School Host Club, Soul Eater), mentre Yoji Enokido (FLCL, La rivoluzione di Utena) si occuperà degli scripts. Il character design originale sarà curato da Misa e Hiroka Mizuya, note soprattutto a coloro che seguono la rivista Kikan S, di cui hanno realizzato delle cover, ed anche per il loro stile che ricorda molto quello di Takeshi Obata; la supervisione dell'animazione sarà compito di Yoshiyuki Ito (Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater), e le musiche di Satoru Kousaki (La malinconia di Haruhi Suzumiya, Bakemonogatari).

Il design del robottolo mi ricorda vagamente Gurren-Lagann, però non sembra ispirarmi molto.

To the south of Japan, there lies a lush green island called Southern Cross Isle. One night, a boy by the name of Takuto Tsunashi washes up on the shore of the island alone. Having swum from the mainland alone and without any possessions, this boy enrolls in the senior high level in the school on the island - Southern Cross High School.
With his bright and positive personality, he starts to mix with various students in the school and builds relationships with many of them, including Wako Agemaki and Sugata Shindou. But this school hides a deep secret. There are sleeping giants hidden under the ground called "Cybuddies".
There are about 20 of these giants, and they are just some of the various secrets kept by everyone on the island: The secret movements of the mysterious organization known as "Kirahoshi Juujidan". The songs of the shrine maidens. And even Takuto himself will soon come to embrace a great secret...
This island in the southern territories surrounded by the blue sea and the blue skies is the stage where the "Eulogy of Youth" filled with love, dreams and friendships, will begin.
The bad guys are the Kira Hoshi Juujidan (Holy Order of the Glittering Stars?). They're a masked group of villains who have unlocked one of the seals on the Southern Cross Island. To unlock the remaining seal, they attempt to capture the "shrine maiden" who they have identified as Agemaki Wako, the heroine. When they attempted to kidnap her, they were stopped by the Cybuddy Taubaan, driven by Tsunashi Takuto, who declares himself the Ginga Bishounen.
The island is where the characters live, and they attend a school there. Under the island are a bunch of ancient ruins where the Cybuddies (the mechs) are first discovered. About 20 of them were unearthed from the ruins, with the main mech being one of them. The pilots of Cybuddies are called Star Drivers, and they are piloted by humans forming a connection with them via a process called apprivoiser (man they love french in this show).
It also seems that there's a drama club in the school called Midnight Flight, and both Wako and Sugata are members of the club. The president of the club is Sarina. They're different divisions of the Kirahoshi Juujidan. President is the head of Adult Bank, and Scarlet Kiss is the head of Filament. Ivrogne is a representative of Bougainvillea so maybe the head of that division hasn't been revealed yet.
Also, Sugata and Wako are engaged (arranged marriage). They're both natives to the island and grew up there together. Wako is a shrine maiden who protects the seals guarding the Cybuddies on the island. Sugata is the heir to the famous Shindou clan on the island, and he is in line to possess "the king's Cybuddy."
Maaya's character isn't just the president of the drama club, she's a transfer student who originally came from Tokyo and apparently she knows exactly what's up with the Kirahoshi Juujidan and "Zero Hour." It seems likely that the drama club is actually a cover for the team that fights the bad guys, and she's the one organizing the team.
Qualche anima buona potrebbe tradurre ?? E' impossibile in questi giorni fare qualcosa... C'è da fare un bel servizio..redo che Anime days tirerà fuori diverse cosette..

Come uccidere...va bhè...ieri notte è spuntato su ANN il trailer ufficiale del film ed inoltre è stata presentata la trama del film..
Dimenticatevi la nota di sopra tutte le informazioni che sono state diffuse - partendo dalle pagine del gruppo dei Sub Zero che curerà il fansub finendo con quello della Ventana di Saouri - sono un pò diverse, segno che le informazioni di Animesuki erano forse un pò troppo dettagliate, forse si riferiscono al primo episodio...
In un’isola del sud a forma di croce, un misterioso e gigantesco robot umanoide chiamato “Cybuddy” viene rinvenuto sigillato tra antiche rovine sotterranee. Un gruppo conosciuto come “Ordine della Croce Stellare Splendente” cerca di rimuovere il sigillo, rapendo la giovane Wako Agemaki, da loro definita “la Vergine del Tempio”, ritenendo che si tratti della chiave per attivare il robot. Un ragazzo di nome Takuto Tsunashi giunge sul luogo a bordo del suo Cybuddy, Tauburn, intenzionato a liberare Wako. Inizia così una lotta per accedere ai segreti di un’avanzata tecnologia e prevenire un disastro.
